The Royal Columbian Hospital & Eagle Ridge Hospital's emergency department needed a content management system to help it share information with patients, students, and staff. Mugo Web set up the server, installed eZ Publish, and developed all site features.
News and other content is generated by one of several editors and posted in sections with various view permissions. Information can therefore be organized and accessed according to the visitor's user group. Regular web content is sometimes complemented by document, spreadsheet, and other file attachments, and can also be shared via e-mail and PDF output.
The intranet has a forum, calendar, and doctor bios. Another feature of the intranet is the Practice Plan system. Here, doctors enter their Practice Plan hours in one of several categories. Reports can then produced based on the time frame, category, individual doctor, or group of doctors.
